Edit a Performance Review Template
You can change a Performance Review Template's details, sections, questions and resources through the Performance Review Templates tab under HR > Performance Reviews.
To edit the template details:
Find the template under the Performance Review Templates tab.
Click the Edit button on the right.
Make your changes under the Template, When to send or Setup tab.
Changes under Template and When to send save automatically. On the Setup tab, click Update to save your changes.
Edit or delete a Section:
Find the template under the Performance Review Templates tab.
Click the Edit button on the right.
Click the section you want to edit or delete in the list on the left.
To rename the section, click Edit section name in the top right, make your changes, then click Update section name.
To delete the section, open the dropdown next to Edit section name, click Delete Section, then confirm with Yes, delete it. A deleted section can't be recovered.
Note: Sections that include skill evaluations can be renamed but not deleted.
Edit or Delete a question/resource:
Find the template under the Performance Review Templates tab.
Click the Edit button on the right.
Click the section that contains the question.
To edit a question, change its text, answer type or settings directly. Your changes save automatically.
To delete a question, click Delete on the question, then confirm with Yes, Delete it.
You can also click Duplicate on a question to make a copy of it in the same section.
Edit or delete a resource
Resources are the videos, files, images and text blocks added to a section.
Find the template under the Performance Review Templates tab.
Click the Edit button on the right.
Click the section that contains the resource.
To edit a resource, click Edit on it, make your changes, then click Update.
To delete a resource, click Delete on it, then confirm with Yes, Delete it.
Note: If a template shows a lock icon, it's managed for you and can't be edited.
Make a Performance Review Template inactive
An inactive Performance Review Template no longer appears for employees to complete on the mobile app, and managers can't send it to employees.
You can still access reports for inactive templates. An inactive template stays under the Performance Review Templates tab, where you can make it active again at any time.
To make a template inactive:
To make a template active again, follow the same steps and tick the Active checkbox.

To duplicate a Performance Review Template:
Find the relevant review under the Performance Review Templates tab
Click the ⋮ button next to Edit
Click Duplicate from the list
Delete a Performance Review Template
When you delete a Performance Review Template, it can no longer be sent or accessed, and it can't be made active again. Any reviews already completed with the template can still be accessed.
To delete a review template:
Find the relevant review under the Performance Review Templates tab
Click the ⋮ button next to Edit
Click Delete from the list
Confirm the action in the pop-up menu with the Delete button

I've deleted a performance review template. Can I restore it?
Once a performance review template has been deleted, it cannot be restored. However, you can refer back to your account on staging.workforce.com to re-create the template.
Workforce.com's testing environment, staging.workforce.com, keeps a record of your Workforce.com account from the previous day and updates at around 5AM AEST daily.
Why can't I see the Edit, Duplicate or Delete options?

These options only appear for users with permission to manage Performance Review Templates. Ask your account administrator to check your access.

The template is inactive. Make it active again from the Setup tab to start reviews with it.

Click Edit on the template, go to the Setup tab, change the name and click Update.
Can I duplicate a whole section of a Performance Review Template?
Can I duplicate a whole section of a Performance Review Template?
No. You can duplicate individual questions, or duplicate the whole template.
If I edit a Performance Review Template, will performance reviews already sent change?
If I edit a Performance Review Template, will performance reviews already sent change?
No. Each review keeps the questions it was sent with. Changes only apply to reviews sent after the edit.

There isn't a preview mode. Send a test review to yourself or a test employee, then delete it.

Not directly. Send a test performance review, open it from HR > Performance Reviews, then click Download PDF.
