Payroll Dashboard Widgets

The Payroll Dashboard gives you a quick overview of your payroll activity, costs, and outstanding tasks. Widgets provide key payroll information at a glance, helping you monitor payroll performance and identify actions that require attention.

About widgets

Widgets are the panels that make up your dashboard. Each widget displays a different piece of payroll information, allowing you to quickly monitor important metrics and take action when required.

The menu button in the top-right corner of a widget provides additional options and settings. Depending on the widget, you may be able to:

  • Change the date range being displayed

  • Filter by team or location

  • Switch chart views

  • Navigate directly to related reports or pages

To customise your dashboard:

  1. Open the dashboard menu.

  2. Select Customise.

  3. Move widgets to different positions.

  4. Resize widgets as needed.

  5. Hide widgets you don't use.

FAQs and Troubleshooting

Why can't I see a payroll widget?

Payroll widgets are only visible if you have the required payroll permissions. Some widgets also require access to payroll cost information.

Why is a widget showing no data?

A widget may not display data if:

  • No payroll activity has occurred during the selected period.

  • No pay runs have been finalised.

  • The applied filters exclude available data.

Try adjusting the widget filters from the menu in the top-right corner.

Why doesn't the Estimated Period Cost match my payroll total?

The estimate does not include salaried employees who are not rostered and may differ from the final payroll amount.

Why can't I access a report from a widget?

You may not have permission to view the linked report. Contact your payroll administrator if you believe you should have access.

How do I customise my dashboard?

Open the dashboard menu and select Customise to move, resize, or hide widgets.
