Accept your invitation email

Your employer sends you an email called You've been invited to use Workforce.

The email has three steps:

  1. Set your Workforce App password, with a Set Password button.

  2. Get the Workforce App, with links to the App Store and Google Play.

  3. Clock in & out, with your time clock passcode.

If you already have a Workforce.com password, you see a Login button instead of Set Password.

Set your password

  1. In the email, click Set Password.

  2. Enter a New Password, then type it again in Confirm New Password.

  3. Tick the box to agree to how your data is collected and used.

  4. Click Set Password & Agree.

Your password must:

  • be at least 9 characters long

  • not be a password that has appeared in a known data breach [CHECK: exact error message shown on staging]

If you already use Workforce.com with the same email address, enter your Existing Password and click Verify Password & Agree.

After you set your password, you see the Get the Workforce App page.

  1. Tap the App Store or Google Play button.

  2. Install the app and log in with your email and new password.

The page says a link has been sent to take you straight into the app.

Complete onboarding

Your employer may ask you to complete onboarding. If so, the invitation email lists what you need:

  • Emergency Contact Information

  • Bank Account Information

  • Tax Information

In the app you see Welcome to the app! and a list of steps, such as Personal Details, Bank Details, Tax Declaration, Contracts and Documents. The progress bar shows Completed X of Y Steps.

  1. Tap each step and fill it in.

  2. When every step is done, tap Confirm and Finish.

What you can do in the app

The menu has Home, Rota, Timesheets, Leave and Chats. You only see the parts your employer has turned on.

View your rota. Tap Rota to see your shifts. Your employer decides whether you can also see your colleagues' shifts.

Accept shifts. If your employer asks you to confirm shifts, tap Accept or Decline on each one. Tap Accept All Pending to accept them all at once.

Clock in and out. Tap Clock In when you start work.

Use Start Break for breaks and Clock Out when you finish. This only works if your employer allows clocking in from the app.

Request leave. Go to Leave and tap New. Choose a Leave Type, add the dates, then tap Request Leave. Your manager approves or declines it.

Set unavailability. Go to Leave > Unavailability and tap New. Add the times you can't work, then tap Request Unavailability. Some businesses call this Availability.

Pick up shifts. If your employer offers extra shifts, tap Pick up shifts to see them.

Give shift feedback. After a shift, you may see How was your last shift? on Home.

Tap Give Feedback, add your comments, then tap Send Feedback. Tick Leave feedback anonymously to hide your name.

View payslips. If your employer pays you through Workforce.com, go to Profile & Settings > Payslips.
