Okta: Set up SAML 2.0 SSO

Setup Okta Single Sign-on (SSO) for Workforce.com

Updated over a week ago

Workforce.com is listed on the Okta Marketplace as “Tanda” (our brand name in Australia). You can quickly set up Workforce.com by visiting this link: https://www.okta.com/integrations/tanda/

Workforce.com does support SAML2.0. This means if the organization is to set their account to SSO only (in the settings detailed below), Workforce.com will make them sign in with SSO when they enter their email address to the /login page. They will not have passwords stored in Workforce.com at all.

Mobile Tip: When logging in to the mobile app, you must set up a second Workforce.com application in the IdP. It should be exactly the same, but at the end of the URL, add `?after_action=mobile`. This will open and log the user into the mobile app if they use this login option on their mobile device.

First, navigate to the applications tab in Okta:

Choose web and saml2.0

Name the application “Workforce.com” (or what makes sense for your staff) and optionally upload the Workforce.com logo from below:

Click next, enter the single sign-in URL as https://my.tanda.co/users/auth/saml/callback,’ and add the audience URI as “http://my.tanda.co“ (note that this is HTTP, not https).

Click next and select ‘I'm an Okta customer adding an internal app’

Select finish, and you’ll be redirected to a page called "settings" which has instructions to set up saml2.0

Select "View Setup Instructions;" this will give you the details to enter into Workforce.com. Download the certificate instead of copying and pasting it.

Open Workforce.com, go to settings (hover over your initials or display picture in the top right corner), then select “integrations.” Next, navigate to “Single Sign On,” or go to this URL: https://my.workforce.com/integrations/singlesignon

Enter in your details to Workforce.com:
