What's covered in this guide?
Where to find reports
Click Reports in the top menu. The Reports page is split into sections:
Core Reports: the most commonly used reports.
Pinned Reports: reports you've pinned with Actions → Pin report.
Shared Reports: reports other people have shared with you.
Custom Reports: reports you've saved.
Categories: Workforce, Time & Attendance, Hire, HR, Operations, Payroll, Accounting, Compliance and Costs.
Use the search box to find a report by name.
💡 Tip: If your account has the Reporting Agent, click it and describe what you need, for example "timesheet hours for the Kitchen team last month". It opens the matching report with filters applied. It can only open existing reports.

Who can see reports
To open Reports, a user's role needs the Reports view permission.
Admins, General Managers, Payroll Officers and Team Managers have it by default.
Employees don't.
Payroll reports need the separate Payroll Reports permission. Admins and Payroll Officers have it by default.
HR reports (forms, surveys, training, performance reviews and warnings) need Workforce.com HR.
Managers only see data for the staff they manage.
📝 Important to note: Most reports allow a date range of up to one year. HR reports have no limit.
Who can see costs and wages
Three settings control who sees pay information in reports:
Allow team managers to see staff costs: go to Settings → Permissions → Manager Permissions. If this is off, you can still turn on Can see staff costs on an individual manager's profile.
Protect manager data (salaries, hourly rates & performance reviews): hides managers' pay and reviews from other managers. Admins and Payroll Officers can still see everything.
See Wages Down Organisational Chart Only: a role permission that limits wage visibility to people below the user in the org chart. It's on by default for Team Managers and General Managers.
Give your accountant access to reports
There's no built-in accountant role. Create a custom role with the Payroll Reports view permission turned on and payroll editing turned off, then give that role to your accountant.
They'll be able to view payroll reports but not change payroll.
