How to Manage and Troubleshoot Notification Preferences in Workforce.com

Workforce.com allows users to customize and troubleshoot their notification preferences to ensure they receive only the alerts they need. This guide provides an overview of how to modify settings, resolve common issues, and understand notification behaviors.

Modifying Notification Preferences

Using the Mobile App

  1. Open the Workforce.com mobile app.

  2. Navigate to the Profile Menu

  3. Adjust your general notification preferences as needed.

Using the Browser Version

  1. Log in to Workforce.com at my.workforce.com.

  2. Click on your Account Menu (the circle in the top-right corner).

  3. Select Notification Preferences > More Notifications and customize your settings accordingly.

Troubleshooting Notification Issues

Not Receiving Mobile Notifications

  • Ensure that mobile notifications are enabled both within the Workforce.com app and in your phone's notification settings for the app.

Receiving Excessive Rota Emails

  • If you are receiving multiple rota-related emails, it may be due to your manager publishing the entire rota repeatedly instead of updates only. Managers can reduce these emails by selecting the "Publish Updates Only" option when publishing schedules.

Receiving Empty Rota Notifications

  • Notifications about empty rotas are often caused by managers publishing schedules with vacant shifts. Managers can prevent this by deselecting all staff under "Staff Receiving Schedules" when publishing.

Missing Qualification Alerts

  • Qualification expiry and update alerts are sent only to managers of the affected employees. Ensure you are assigned as a manager for the relevant teams or users to receive these notifications.

Customizing Specific Notification Types

To opt out of specific email notifications, such as birthday or leave/holiday updates:

  1. Go to Profile > My Notification Preferences.

  2. Disable the specific email type you want to stop. For example, turn off "Time Off Request Daily Update Emails" to stop leave/holiday updates.
