Rehire an employee
To rehire an employee:
Go to Workforce > Staff.
Open the Tools menu.
Select Reactivate next to the deactivated staff.
Alternatively, open the employee's profile and click Reactivate [Employee Name].
📝 Important to note: Reactivating an employee makes their profile active again. You may still need to update their employment details before you can roster or pay them correctly.
What happens when you rehire an employee?
When you reactivate an employee:
Their profile becomes active again.
A new passcode is generated.
Connected integrations are notified via webhook.
📝 Important to note: A new passcode is generated automatically to prevent passcode conflicts.
Update details after rehiring
After reactivating an employee, review their details and update them as needed.
You may need to:
Update their start date.
Confirm their employment type.
Reassign their department.
Update their pay rate.
Re-enrol them in payroll, if required.

💡 Tip: Review the employee's profile before adding them back to rosters to ensure their employment and payroll details are correct.
Temporary staff restrictions
If you're trying to rehire a temporary staff member and Enable Temporary Staff is turned off, you won't be able to click Reactivate.
To continue, either:
Turn Enable Temporary Staff back on.
Update the employee's employment type.
