Attendance Report

The Attendance Report gives you an organisation-wide view of employee attendance patterns, punctuality, and shift compliance for any date range.


Access the Attendance Report

The Attendance Report helps you understand how your staff are attending their shifts, including worked hours, on-time performance, leave activity, and overall attendance percentages.

To access the Attendance Report:

  1. Go to Reports

  2. Select the Time & Attendance category

  3. Click Attendance Report


Filters

Use the filter bar to narrow the data before generating the report:

  • Columns to display: Choose which columns appear in the table

  • Date Range: Defaults to last week

  • Default payroll team: Filter by payroll team

  • Teams worked in: Filter by one or more teams

  • Default team group: Filter by a group of teams

  • Classification Tags: Filter by award or employment classification

  • Positions: Filter by employee role

Once you've configured your filters, click Generate.

📝 Important to note: Large organisations may experience slower load times when selecting all teams. Try narrowing your filters for faster results.


Default Columns

The report displays the following columns by default:

  • Preferred name: Employee name (links to their profile)

  • # Scheduled Shifts: Number of rostered shifts within the selected period

  • # Worked Shifts: Number of shifts with a paid timesheet recorded (excluding leave)

  • # Leave Shifts: Number of approved leave shifts

  • % On time: Percentage of clock-ins and clock-outs within your configured punctuality thresholds

  • Attendance percentage inc. vacated shifts: Worked shifts as a percentage of scheduled shifts

  • Scheduled Hours − Worked Hours: Difference between rostered hours and actual paid hours

You can add or remove columns using the Columns to display filter.

📝 Important to note: The % On time column only includes shifts with clock-in and clock-out data. Manually entered timesheets without attendance data are excluded from this calculation.

💡 Tip: This report is especially useful for monitoring attendance reliability, identifying lateness trends, and reviewing Bradford Factor scores across your workforce.

Additional columns

Additional columns available in the report include:

  • First Name / Last Name: Employee's first and last name as separate columns

  • Payroll ID: Employee's payroll identifier

  • Scheduled Hours: Total rostered hours in the period

  • Worked Hours: Total paid hours worked (excluding leave)

  • Leave Hours: Total hours on approved leave

  • Clocked Shifts: Number of shifts with a clock-in recorded

  • Late Start Shifts: Number of shifts where the employee clocked in after their rostered start time

  • Early Finishes: Number of shifts where the employee clocked out before their rostered finish time

  • Bradford Factor: A score that measures the impact of employee absences. It weights frequent short absences more heavily than occasional long ones, a higher score indicates a more disruptive pattern of absence.


Export the Attendance Report

Click the Actions menu in the top-right corner of the report to export the data.
