Level Integration

Offer Earned Wage Access and Payroll Savings to employees via Level

Updated today

How it works

Workforce.com integrates with Level to enable Earned Wage Access (On-Demand Pay) and Payroll Savings for employees.

Through this integration:

  • Employee and earnings data is shared with Level

  • Level calculates how much employees can access based on approved hours

  • Employees can choose to access a portion of their earned wages before payday

  • Any early payments are reconciled during the payroll payout process

This allows employers to offer early pay without changing how payroll is calculated.

Connect Level with Workforce.com

To get started with Level:

  1. To get started with the Level integration, contact Level directly

  2. Enable the On-Demand Pay (ODP) setting for eligible employees

  3. Level will create employee accounts as part of onboarding

Employees will receive login details directly from Level.

📝 Important:
Level manages employee accounts, withdrawals, and financial services. Workforce.com provides employee and earnings data to support the integration.

Onboarding employees

When a new employee is added in Workforce.com with On-Demand Pay enabled:

  • A Level account is created for the employee

  • Login details are sent to the employee

  • equests to use On-Demand Pay may be automatically approved as part of the Level setup

  • A “splitting account” is set up to manage payments

This account is used to reconcile early payments at payday.

How withdrawals work

Level receives earnings updates based on approved hours in Workforce.com.

  • Employees can access a portion of their earned wages before payday

  • Withdrawals are optional and initiated by the employee

  • Limits and any applicable fees are set by Level

There is:

  • No loan involved

  • No impact to how payroll is calculated in Workforce.com

Payday process

When payroll is run:

  • Each employee’s total pay is processed as normal

  • Payments are routed via a Level splitting account as part of the integration

  • Level reconciles any early withdrawals

  • The remaining balance is sent to the employee

This means payroll calculations remain unchanged, while payment adjustments are handled during the payout process.

📝 Important: Payroll teams do not need to manually adjust payslips or deduct early payments, these are handled through the Level integration.

Offboarding

If a termination date is added in Workforce.com:

  • Level is notified

  • On-Demand Pay access is disabled

  • The employee account enters the closure process

📝 Important: Ensure termination dates are entered promptly to prevent continued access to early pay.
